A set of three beautiful, old French wine labels made from galvanised zinc with card inserts that have a lovely, faded cream tone.
These pretty labels would once have hung from wine bottles in a French cellar using small pieces of metal wire threaded through the holes at the top. Two of these old labels still have what appears to be the original wire and it could easily be replaced on the remaining one. The name of the wine would have been written onto the card inserts and a thin layer of glass would have been laid over the top to protect the handwritten label; one of the labels still has it's original glass.
I love the rustic charm of these old labels, the tones of the galvanised zinc and cream card together is just lovely and the metal is perfectly weathered and worn. They would make great decorative pieces in your home and could be used in so many creative ways as labels, place cards and so on.
