A beautiful, antique French framed mirror with a simple black frame, faded, gilded decoration and an unusual card inlay. The inlay appears to have once been covered in a red material which has since been removed, revealing the worn card underneath and giving this mirror a lovely weathered feel.
This striking and unique mirror, which dates from around the late 1800s/early 1900s, has it's original oval-shaped glass which has some beautiful, light foxing and it's original wooden back with lots of rustic patina.
This pretty piece would look lovely in any interior. It has two small hooks on the back and comes with some old, red string attached to both hooks, from which it could be easily hung.
