Lovely, antique French mirror with a simple gold frame. Dating from around the end of the 19th century, this pretty piece would look lovely in any interior. It has a small hook on the top from which it could be hung. The back has been replaced at some point in it's life with the cover of a beautiful old book and some simple nails which have rusted over with time. The book cover has some lovely handwritten script on it - I think in French - which really adds to the character of this beautiful piece.
The frame shows signs of wear and tear - there are some small sections missing and there is a chip about 3cm across on the bottom section where the bare wood has been exposed. For me this just adds to the character of this piece but please do take a close look at this in the photographs. It measures:
