These old, French, wooden bobbins with silk thread were salvaged from a factory in Lyon. The white silk is so beautiful and soft. The top layer is a little aged on some of them but you just unwind some of the thread to reveal the untouched thread underneath if you wished.
They make lovely decorative pieces and look great as part of a display on a mantle or shelf or you could always make use of the thread on your craft projects. All the bobbins have the same amount of thread on them and measure:
