A beautiful, old wooden mould from India with a wonderful rustic patina.
Dating from around the 1960s, this large, heavy piece would have been used to put designs onto tiles and other decorative items. It has a beautiful rustic patina with worn, grey toned wood and old nail heads poking through around the edges.
It would make a gorgeous and unique wall hanging or centre piece in a sideboard or shelf display and wooden strut across the back from which it could be easily hung. This tall panel has the face and body of a figure carved horizontally across the middle, which may be a representation of Buddha, so it could also be put in a landscape orientation. It would even look beautiful just resting on the floor against a wall.
