A wonderful, antique wooden pot full of rustic character. Originally from Tibet, this beautiful pot transports me to the wild Himalayan mountains. A place of freedom, beautiful cold sunrises, icy morning air that hurts the back of your throat, earthy textures and rich woody, campfire smells. To me, it embodies a simpler time and a more primitive, rustic way of life.
Once used to make curd, this pot has a wonderful woody smell and the most beautiful marks and scrapes from years of use. It's simple design is reinforced at the top with a thin strip of metal and a crack towards the base has been lovingly repaired with two old metal pins at some point in it's life. There are one or two other cracks in the wood but none require repair and all just add to this pot's beautiful, rustic character. This is a unique, decorative piece which would look wonderful styled with dried stems or simply displayed alone. It measures:
H25cm x D19cm
