A selection of old French, horticulture labels made from thin pieces of galvanised zinc, each bearing the name of a different plant or tree. The names have been punched into each label and look like they have been written on with an old typewriter which, along with the metal's worn patina, gives them all a lovely, rustic feel.
Each label has a piece of metal wire threaded through a small hole which would have been used to attach the label to the plant or tree it belonged to. Today, they could be used in so many ways. They could obviously still be used for their original purpose, or they could be used decoratively in the home - hung as an unusual addition to a gallery wall, used as napkin rings or part of a table decoration, tied to strings around old jars... the list goes on!
