A beautiful, vintage tailor's mannequin with sepia tones and a perfectly imperfect feel.
The cloth covering this old mannequin has a lovely creamy brown tone, simple, pretty stitching and old nail heads that still secure it poking through. It is worn in patches across the front and sides to reveal the pale cream surface beneath which really adds to the rustic charm of this piece. Another characterful feature is the faded and worn, creamy newspaper cuttings which were used to cover the neck of this mannequin. The writing suggests that it started it's life in Slovakia in Eastern Europe, probably around the mid 1900s.
The mannequin is still on it's original, dark wood stand which compliments the colour of the cloth perfectly. It would look very pretty styled in your bedroom with your favourite bags or necklaces. It would also work well in a bathroom or could be used as a photography or shop prop.
